On Sunday’s Brent I usually go adventuring…usually on a sailboat. Being a sailor, motorboats are not my favorite water craft, as anyone can drive a motorboat. One thing motorboats are good at, because of their shallow draft is for studying the marine environment.
I have been a big fan of Zodiac boats because they are like jet-ski’s but are legal in all waters where PWC are usually not. They are also super fun to take to lakes and for buzzing the Santa Cruz waterfront on flat days.
Yesterday Brent and I attempted to explore Moss Landing, which is filled with California sealions, elephant seals, otters and tons of birds – egrets, blue herons and large pelicans. Unfortunagtely the motor did not cooperate, something about sitting in the rain all winter – need to service the fuel lines.
There was plenty of wind – wish we had sailboat.
