Still Water Cove

Once per year usually, during a clear weather window, my hardy crew and I set sail across the Monterey Bay from Santa Cruz to Still Water Cove, Carmel.  It’s a two day trip, one day across, a night at anchor and the next morning the sail home. What I like best about this trip are the swells we get to ride about 20 miles offshore. This year the swells were large, the wind brisk. My 25ft sailboat, Calico an Olson 25 built by surfers and built like a surfboard in the late 70’s is always a joy to ride. -john

More on the history of the Olson25 and George Olson the boats designer and builder.
